“Flora of Russia” philatelist series has been supplemented with the issue of “The 100th anniversary of the Caucasian State Reserved Area” 13.03.2024
The Perm Printing Factory – Branch of Goznak has printed a new issue of stamps of the “Flora of Russia” series under the order of JSC “Marka”.
“Flora of Russia. For the 100th anniversary of the Caucasian State Reserved Area” sheet of stamps with formed margins consists of eight stamps – four themes are repeated twice thus creating two complete compositions on the sheet.
The difference of the issue from previous stamps is that just like the previous issues, this one consists of four themes. Four plants are depicted on the stamps; their names are written in Russian and Latin:
- Pulsatilla aurea
- Achillea biserrata
- Rhododendron caucasicum
- Fritillaria latifolia
However, the compositional solution of the four stamps is arranged so that there are five plants on the souvenir sheet, and four stamps form the image of the fifth plant – houseleek (Sempervivum) – in the center of the composition.
The stamps have been produced at the Perm Printing Factory of Goznak with the application of offset printing on self-adhesive paper. It is white paper produced at the Saint Petersburg Paper Mill of Goznak.
Offset printing is executed in five inks: four triade inks and security one observed under the influence of UV light only.
