A chess set of Plamet and metal 16.03.2022
Composite material is a multilayer durable material. The outer layers have security printing, and the inner layers form strength properties.
Every layer is impregnated polymer materials and are pressed into a whole at a high temperature and pressure. After that, the composite material obtains a monolithic structure, like glass or bone.
The composite inserts have the following kinds of security:
· Colored design
· Semitransparent structure in transmitted light
· Security printing on both sides like a banknote, including a microtext, a guilloche grid, UV luminescence and IR image.
The metallic ring has minting on both sides in the shape of the name of the company – ГОЗНАК, GOZNAK
Bright, colorful, well-secured, light, oxidation-proof, wear-resistant and durable coins are produced thanks to Plamet technology.The production technology has been developed at the Scientific Research Institute of Goznak and implemented at a number of Goznak’s enterprises including the Moscow Mint.
The complete set consists of two souvenir boxes. Each of them contains figures and a half of the chessboard; the halves magnetize to each other and form a unitary chessboard.

- at the trade shop of the Moscow Mint – Branch of Goznak (Moscow, Danilovskiy Val, 1);
- at http://www.mmint.ru/
