The presentation of the Olympic banknote to be put into circulation by the Bank of Russia on Wednesday took place in Saint-Petersburg. The banknote is dedicated to the Winter Games in Sochi 31 октября 2013 года

The Bank of Russia is putting into circulation commemorative banknotes with the face value of 100 roubles dedicated to the Olympic Games-2014 on Wednesday. The number is 20 millions. The presentation took place in the Peter and Paul Fortress in the City on the Neva.
Within the framework of the event led by Pavel Gusev the “Torch” commemorative coin accomplishing the series of commemorative coins of the Bank of Russia dedicated to the Games in Sochi was presented. The coin face value is 25 roubles.  
“It is symbolic that the “Torch” coin was struck at the Saint-Petersburg Mint, and here, at the same place where the first commemorative coin in the history of Russia was minted, the Olympic banknote is presented”, said General Director of Goznak Arkady Trachuk at the presentation.
