Prime-Minister Dmitry Medvedev visited the Printing Works of Goznak, ITAR-TASS informsHead of the Enterprise Arkady Trachuk told Head of the Government that travel passports, just like some other documents issued at Goznak, are produced basing on the principle of centralized personalization. “The main idea is in the fact that a person applies for the document at one of the branches of the Federal Migration Service where a picture and fingerprints (if required for the document) are taken of him. The documents are processed, the decision of issuing the document is made, and the file containing this information is passed to us”, explained General Director of the Enterprise. He also specified that during the production process the documents don’t leave the Printing Works, it enables to protect personal data of the citizens better.
Later on the Prime Minister personally walked along the line where the travel passports are manufactured and examined the production process. After that he was also shown the section of personalization of electronic policies of obligatory medical insurance and universal electronic cards.
