Goznak is taking part in the Seventh International Competition “Coin Constellation-2013”
Over 270 commemorative coins and 28 coin series are taking part in one of the most prestigious numismatic competitions.
The Bank of Russia and the Mints – Branches of Goznak submitted 22 commemorative coins of gold, silver and non-noble alloys to the Competition. They include coins of the “Sochi 2014” Programme of the Bank of Russia, coins dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of initiation of the Russian national identity, the 200th anniversary of the Russian victory in the Patriotic war of 1812, the 400th anniversary of the militia of Kozma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky, outstanding personalities of our country, museums of Russia.
The “250th anniversary of the Winter Palace in Saint-Petersburg” silver coin highly appraised by the specialists also takes part in the Competition. The traditional design technique is shown in the composition on the coin reverse – a laconic relief image of the front of the Winter Palace enframed with a fragment of filigree garden lattice below. The coin with the face value of 25 roubles is minted in the number of 1500 pieces at the Saint-Petersburg Mint with the application of “proof” technique.
On a par with the Russian, coins submitted by the National Banks of Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Bulgaria, Kyrgyz Republic, Poland, Republics of Belarus and Kazakhstan, the National Bank of Ukraine, the Trans-Dniester Republican Bank, the Central Bank of Armenia, the Russian Banks – “Tatfondbank”, “Transstroybank”, VTB 24; Azienda Autonoma di Stato Filatelica e Numismatica – San Marino, Moneda Nueva (Spain), New Zealand Post (New Zealand) and NUMISTRADE (Germany) are taking part in the Competition.
The Australian Perth Mint, the Royal Mints of Spain, Canada, Holland, the Royal Mint of Great Britain, the Mints of Austria, Andorra, Poland, Singapore, Finland, Pobjoy Mint (Great Britain), the Paris Mint, the Holy Land Mint (Israel) have submitted their coins.
The Hungarian Mint, the South African Mint, HelveticMint (Switzerland), Imprensa Nacional-Casa Da Moeda (Portugal) are taking part in the “Coin Constellation”.
Well-known coin retailers from Russia, Lichtenstein, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Austria are among the participants of the Competition.
The Competition Jury consists of representatives of the international numismatic associations, competent specialists of the famous world museums and auction houses, members of editing teams of specialized titles on coins from different countries.
People's Choice Award (the tenth category of the Competition) is determined according to the voting results at www.Gold10.ru. Anybody can take part in the voting (it is enough to get registered at the site).
The Competition results will be announced at the Fourth International Conference and Exhibition COINS 2013 which will take place on September 27-28, 2013 at Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel and Business Center in Moscow.
