Happy New Year!
Traditionally, for a few decades already in December, the Moscow Printing Factory of Goznak has produced New Year stamps to appear on letters, postcards and banderoles across the whole country.
This year, the New Year stamp features the panorama of the Kremlin in a frost mist. The technologists of the Moscow Printing Factory chose the inks for the festive stamp so that the viewer would have an impression of looking at the wonderful snow-covered Moscow through a glade in a frozen window. And it’s turned out great, hasn’t it? The souvenir sheet with margins designed with hoarfrost looks especially beautiful.
The author of the sketch of the New Year stamp is O. Ivanova, an artist and designer. The stamp was printed on chalk-coated paper with the application of multicolour offset in the number of 600,000 pieces. The perforation is comb-shaped 13 ½. The stamp size is 65×32,5 mm.
The size of the stamp sheet is 160x160. There are 8 stamps on a sheet (2x4). The number is 75,000 sheets.
