Goznak presented awards of the wartime and new coin technologies at COINS-2015 24.06.2015
The visitors of the booth received an opportunity to see the war and jubilee awards struck at the Mints of Goznak in various years, commemorative coins of gold, silver and base metals dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory. The numismatists crowded at the showcases of the internet shop and the numismatic showrooms of the company. It was possible to buy coins, commemorative medals and numismatic sets here. The latest developments of the Research Institute of Goznak - coin blanks with the application of powder metallurgy and coloured titanium technology – attracted special attention.
Representatives of the Bank of Russia, chiefs of national and commercial banks, largest mints of the world, coin distributing companies, and auction houses took part in the conference. Totally, there were more than 200 participants from 17 countries. 67 exponents participated in the COINS-2015 exhibition: Numiscom GmbH & Co KG (Germany), NumisCollect (the Netherlands), Moneda Nueva (Spain/Russia), the National Banks of the Republic of Belarus and the Kyrgyz Republic, the Trans-Dniestrian Republican Bank? Transstroybank, “REAL-CREDIT” Bank, “GERMESAUCTION” (Russia), Leuchtturm Albenverlag GmbH & Co. KG (Germany), “RESOURSE” Group of Companies, the Czech Mint and many others.
About 3000 Muscovites and guests from other cities came to COINS-2015 not only for the sake of the exhibition of numismatic novelties, but also in order to participate in the numismatic seminars open for everybody during the work of COINS-2015. In particular, the presentation of Alexander Baklanov, Head Artist of the Design Center of Goznak, an Academician, about “Coins dedicated to the Great Victory of the Soviet people” attracted great interest.
Valery Shalunov, an engineer and technologist of the Moscow Mint dedicated his presentation to new recipes of coins conservation.
