The Victory in silver and goldThe Bank of Russia has put into circulation commemorative coins of precious metals dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945. There are relief images of the Soviet warriors placing the Banner of Victory above Reichstag on the silver coin with the face value of 3 roubles, on the left there is an inscription in two lines “70 ЛЕТ ПОБЕДЫ” (“70 YEARS OF THE VICTORY”).
the authors of the coin sketches were L. Evdokimova and A. Brynza, artists of the Design Center of Goznak, the modeling was made by A. Dolgopolova, an artist of the Territorial Art Studio of Goznak.
On the 25-rouble silver coin there are relief images enframed with St. George’s ribbon: Order of the Patriotic war with the outgoing searchlight beams in the center; Liberator Warrior monument of the memorial in Treptower Park in Berlin above it; Marshal G. Zhukov at the Victory Parade on Red Square on June 24, 1945 on the left, a fragment of “Motherland is calling!” poster on the right, a soldier writing on the wall of Reichstag in the bottom left part, “Fight to the bitter end!” sculpture against the background of the main “Motherland is calling!” monument of the memorial “To the Heroes of the Stalingrad Battle” in Mamaev Kurgan in Volgograd in the bottom right part.
A. Brynza, an artist of the Design Center of Goznak was the author of the sketch, F. Andronov, an artist of the Territorial Art Studio of Goznak in Saint-Petersburg, was the author of modeling.
